With a new addition to the Nissen series of prints, we were once again facing quite a miniature construction site. Once the basics of the image were agreed upon, Tuomas Korpi marched to Hobby Point and came back with a bagful of miniature stuff. "We'd had such great results with building elements in real life especially with the Nissen Office picture, that it was natural to exploit the same path with this one.", says Tuomas.

At the traditional Piñata pottery workshop Mikko Vormala made paper bags, Tuomas built an escalator out of tin foil and both of the guys drew various product labels on paper to be scanned in and added to the picture. At the same time Turkka Kylliäinen built a base scene in 3D to incorporate all the built and photographed elements. "One of my favourite details reflecting our devotion to the eyeglass world are the cereal boxes and magazine covers.", says Tuomas. "We of course had to substitute the people with glasses."

"We used 3D and Photoshop simply as tools to bring the miniature world together.", says Tuomas. "Making the individual objects was basically like building any miniature. What our way of working really added into the picture was a strong sense of movement to the inevitable fall. It would have been hard to capture working solely with traditional miniatures."
